About Me...
Who am I? I am a 20-something year old daughter of the Living God (2 Corinthians 6:18). I am a sinner who has been redeemed (Ephesians 1:7). I have been bought with a price by Jesus, my Savior, and my friend (Romans 5:1, 1 Corinthians 12:27.) I know that where the spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. God is transforming me in His likeness (Corinthians 3:17-18) and I trust that He promises to complete the good work He has begun in me (Philippians 1:6). I pray that I finish the path set before me well and bear much fruit for His Kingdom.
"Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us
run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before
him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God."
Hebrews 12:1-2
I am also a wife, a mom, a step-mom and a childcare provider and teacher, a daughter, a sister and a friend. I have been married to my husband for 5 years. We have had our struggles, as all marriages and families do, but God has graciously seen us through, and continues to strengthen and grow us in His likeness by His amazing grace. God has blessed us with two daughters, born in June 2010 and November 2011. I also have the privilege of being a step mom to a beautiful 9 year old step daughter.
After graduating college, I taught general music and chorus for 4 years in the public schools. After the birth of my first child, however, I deeply desired to stay at home. I left my teaching position and decided to open up a small childcare in my home as a way to be with my then daughter (now daughters), still help out our family financially and serve others. Within the first year, however, I found out I was pregnant again and we decided I needed to downsize to really serve my family well. I now currently care for one little girl, who is the same age as my first daughter. (I met her mom and dad at a birthing class at the hospital and we have now become good friends.) She is a complete joy and she truly is part of our family.
It is my hope to use this website as a way to organize my thoughts, document my days, connect, glean from, and hopefully, encourage and spur on others in similar life spaces as me. I desire to glorify God in all I do in this life I have been given.
"May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ,
through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world."
Galatians 6:14
