Other than some poopy diaper explosion from June Bug's training pants on the floor in her room discovered by Mama,
(Those things really don't hold anything in! Yes, I know that is the point, but oh boy!!!)
June Bug helping herself to project time in the playroom unbeknownst to Daddy,
(What can I say, my girl knows her morning routine!)
And evidence of all of breakfast, lunch and dinner sprawled across the kitchen counters and floors,
(June Bug- nothing gets in their mouth really- and let's just say, Daddy just has a way in the kitchen...)
Rob did an amazing job managing the house all day long!
I will say though, when I awoke from my nap on the couch to June Bug wiping her orange, paint-covered hands on my face saying, "Mama, I need to wash my hands," it took A LOT of self- control (by God's grace only) not to lose it and try (did I mention by God's grace) to keep things in perspective. After all, June Bug was asking to wash her hands, and her white toddler table couldn't have looked more exquisite, really, and it was washable paint, so that orange hand print on our khaki couch is bound to come out, right?
(I won't mention Rob may have fallen asleep with Roo while trying to put her down for a nap during all this...)
So all this to say, first, that I truly have an amazing husband. Although he doesn't always do things they way I do them and the day had its far shares of glitches,
he seeks to serve me (and the girls) well.
And, truly, all joking aside, he served this Mopy-Mastitis-Mama
so incredibly well that Monday!
(After a full day, He still managed to make chicken chili, pick up my prescription, and be thoughtful enough to grab some ice cream to share. He then spent the evening cleaning up the whole house after putting the girls to bed. He even mopped the floor!)
I am blessed!
(I saw glimpses of Christ in my husband.)
Oh, and secondly, Tot School didn't happen...
Stay tuned, though! Next week, God-willing, we will switch our Letter of the Week to 'P' and continue exploring Things That Go with Planes, Pilots, Propellers and Parachutes!
